On 10 September 1999, Mr. Ambrose So, Mr. Gary Ngai, Prof. K.C. Fok and Prof. Larry L.C. Chau of the Macau Sino-Latin Foundation participated in the "Symposium on Problems Concerning the Return of Macau to China", which was held in the Macau Hall of the National People's Congress in Beijing. The symposium was organised by the Vice Director of the Institute of World Development, the State Council's Center of Research and Development, Vice President Wang Guoquan of the National People's Political Consultative Conference, the Municipal Political Consultative Council of Beijing, Zhang Husheng of People's Daily Newspaper, and others. The conference was attended by high level officials of the Chinese government and discussed problems and concerns connected to the handover of Macau and the implimentation of the "one country, two systems". This conference was then followed by the "Macau Handover Grand Exhibition" in Beijing which was organized by several ministries in Beijing and held at the History Museum in Beijing from 21 September to 12 October 1999. MSLF and it's sister organization, the Macau Association of Chinese Art and Culture, made substantial contributions to the success of this exhibition.
